River Wye Fish Eating Bird (FEB) Survey, Saturday 3rd February, 2018
At 9am on Saturday 3rd February a river-wide cormorant and goosander count will take place on the Wye. This is the second of a number of surveys that the statutory authorities have requested and is being co-ordinated by Chris James, Chairman of Hereford & District AA.
It is important that as many owners and anglers as possible take part so that the river is covered effectively. If you are able to carry out a survey on your fishery (or someone else is on your behalf), please let Chris know in advance on hdaa@sky.com or 07737 684 963.
Please note that the surveys must start at 9am to avoid duplicate counting.
Results of the surveys should then be emailed to Chris, including species of bird and their numbers plus any other details that might be relevant. He will then collate these results and pass them on to the statutory authorities.
The information and forms required for a count are attached as Word doc or can be downloaded as PDFs from the Wye & Usk Foundation website here.
